This weekend I wanted to try making a latte using only an Aeropress and a mason jar. Not a purist's latte, of course, but it comes surprisingly close to an authentic steamed milk latte. The method turned out so simple, and the latte so delicious. I followed this helpful guide from The Kitchn.
1. Brew espresso or strong coffee (from an Aeropress), without diluting with water
2. Froth milk (I used skim) by shaking in a mason jar 30-60 seconds
3. Microwave uncovered jar 30 seconds
4. Pour warm milk in espresso/coffee, holding back foam with spoon
5. Add foam as desired
